MEDITATION
A widely discussed topic, with countless sources of information on the Internet. Today I will try to explain what meditation means, what are the different forms of meditation and what are the benefits of it ... because no harm has been recorded so far ...
Meditation is a relaxation of the mind that causes a state of consciousness to achieve physical, emotional, mental and spiritual development. It has been practicing for a long time to the east, and in recent years it has gained popularity in Europe. The purpose of meditation is relaxation and contact with spiritual leaders and building and mastering internal energy. As a result, visions, an opportunity to see past lives and to travel in other worlds and dimensions can be seen.
Overall, meditation is a means of discovering one's own potential and gaining enlightenment. The basic idea of meditation is to clear the consciousness, which is usually full of countless superfluous thoughts and to give the chance to the subconscious, which is the higher I directly connected with God and the universe, to give us answers and guidance for a better and more meaningful life.
There are a variety of theories about posture and time for meditation. But the truth is that you can meditate lying, seated, straight, walking, and anywhere at all times, as long as it does not bother you. Of course, for beginners, it is better to have lied in the proper time ... usually in the evening so that they are not worried about noise and eventual falls if they are running ...
The most important thing in all spiritual teachings is that they are just that, spiritual, that is, you have to follow your inner voice and feel mostly calm while you are doing any practice.
Methods of meditation are also countless. Here I will describe a few that do not require much effort, easy to perceive by absolute beginners and without strict commitment to consistency.
1. Looking at a lighted candle - sit comfortably, / lying posture here will not be good/ light a candle, no matter its type and size, about 50-60 cm from the eyes. Look only at the candle. It is recommended that the exercise be done in a quiet room, so as not to distract yourself. Taking on an object gives a specific purpose to the mind, which makes it "forgetting" everything else in it. In the beginning, of course, thousands of thoughts will pass, but with more practice you will find that there is a moment when you really do not think of anything and the mind is empty. This usually happens on the fifth experience .. :) The duration of meditation at the beginning is good to be approximate about 15min. Why? Because 5 minutes are too less. Still, about 49,000 thoughts, according to statistics, must go through your mind as you calm down. And more than 15min., would make you nervous at the very beginning because of the effort and the lack of results. So, the first 3 times, about 15 minutes are enough to "repeat". The moment you feel that your thoughts are significantly reduced, you can extend the duration to 30 min.
What's happening. The first time the "mind" sees the candle says, "ah, you see, I give myself time to play 100 situations and monologues and get everything up." Similarly, the second and third time. On the fourth and fifth it becomes boring, for the lighted candle does not give him any reason for reflection, and then comes the moment when it is turned off. Exclusion gives you a new beginning and the pointless "rhetoric" in silence, emptiness and tranquillity ... enjoy it. After a few meditations in complete silence of the mind, you will start to come back to yourself and get insights or answers to questions that concern you. Here works the subconscious mind that has no age and limitations and is directly connected with the universe.
The insights can appear as pictures, thoughts, feelings and sensations. Do not expect anything specific to avoid disappointments. The main idea of meditation is to relax the mind…. not to become a medium.
Some are granted from the first attempt, the other from the tenth, the third of the twentieth. The same goes for the insights.
The description in this first method applies to every other, so I will list them without going into detail.
2. Listening to relaxing music and focusing on it - it is imperative to have the same music until it is fully emptied. Then you can change the melodies.
3. Visualization - here you will face a little challenge. In general, visualizing a favourite spot calms the mind, but it is still a "real" picture and there may be movement that will give rise to reasoning or thoughts. For example, you imagine you sat on your favourite beach, it is calm, sunny and warm, the sea strokes your legs ... ... and suddenly a seagull passes ... and hop ... we start thinking where this gull came from, does he want something ... a sign I get ... So, this is a method for slightly more advanced and self-confident individuals who are sure they can hold the visualized static picture.
4. Looking at organs with love - this is a slightly different method of meditation, which is also healing. For those of whom health is something that they want to adjust first, this is the method they should begin with. We start from top to bottom. We look at the eyes, envelop them with love, follow our nose, ears, mouth, tongue, throat, thyroid, and continue down. Here we also use visualization because we must imagine each organ or see it with our inner eye. Embracing organs with love makes restart healing of the whole organism. We charge our cells with positive energy and they reward us by regenerating and working perfectly and as intended. Of course, it takes time.
5. Breathing - here the concentration is on breathing. Gradually, you try to slow it down, guiding the count to 4 while breathing, holding the air up to 2, and exhaling again by counting to 4. There are quite a few breathing exercises. The most commonly used is yoga breathing. The idea is the same, relaxation and emptying the mind.
6. Counting - we decide on what number we want to count. For example, up to 50. We start to count slowly from 1 to 50. If we pass 50, then we are distracted. The idea is to concentrate on counting and every number. It's a little like the counting of sheep before falling asleep ... :)
7. Watching the sky - this is one of the most pleasant methods of meditation that brings us back to carefree childhood. When did you last look at the sky and the clouds ... so without thinking. Here I think there is nothing to explain. You find a meadow, a blanket, and in sunny weather you enjoy the beautiful sky over you and the clouds ... if there are any. As children, we saw different figures ... you could see them again.
Meditation reduces anxiety attacks, builds self-confidence, removes headaches and insomnia, and depression by increasing serotonin. Increases prana (vital energy), normalizes blood pressure, improves concentration and reduces heart disease.
In a nutshell ... meditate.
