The sixth chakra is connected with perception and is shining in indigo - blue. It is in the middle of the forehead, between the eyebrows, and is a chakra of the Third Eye.

The element of Ajna is light and is responsible for our intuition, insight, spirituality and sixth sense.

The sixth chakra is responsible for the epiphysis, small brain, eyes, sinuses and face.

With a balanced chakra we become highly intuitive, acquire a clearer and more detailed view of things, we can get visions and develop telepathy.

Unbalanced chakra may cause headaches, loss of vision, hearing or smell, and timidity.

The chakra may be blocked by prejudice, unwillingness or misconception of the meaning of life, as well as hidden emotions.

The third eye chakra is formed in youthhood and is associated with the ability of abstract thinking. Normally, during this period, we begin to get to know ourselves and seek out answers beyond matter and generally accepted perceptions. The development of the sixth chakra is usually a spiritual development and conversion to ourself, as well as an association with the self.

Ajna responds to "I see," the archangel who balances her is Michail.

The mantra for this chakra is "Om" and it can be purified with acacia, wild wormwood and quartz.
