POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE SITUATION

Every situation we find ourselves in is neutral. It is neither positive nor negative. Everything that happens to us is intended to teach us something. We ourselves, according to our emotional state, choose to make the situation positive or negative.

You are rushing to work in the morning, you are nervous, you go out and see that your car tire is flat and you will be late. This situation immediately turns negative and stresses you even more and most likely your whole day will be negative. However, if you are calm in the morning, you will be grateful that the tire got flat in front of your house and not on the road.

This leads to the conclusion that your reaction to everything that happens to you is guided entirely by your emotional state. And in most cases, your negative emotional reaction is not specifically to the situation you have found yourself in, but to the dissatisfaction you carry within yourself.

When you find yourself in a situation that you are putting a negative sign on, the first thing you should do is ask yourself the question “Why do I actually feel this way?” The second thing you should do is think about the meaning of this situation and what it can possibly teach you.

If we follow the example above, the moment you understand why you were initially nervous, the flat tire stops being a problem. You will be able to be grateful that it burst in front of your house, and not on the road, and you will most likely learn something new, such as changing a tire, or at a later stage, that thanks to leaving later, you avoided an accident on the road.

We live in a fast-paced world with many commitments and people around us. It is impossible not to feel negative and get into negative situations. Try as much as you can to turn a negative situation into a positive one and, above all, examine your emotional state and work on it. The golden rule is “like attracts like”.
